, undivided India, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has the distinction of being the first Indian bank to have been started solely with Indian capital.The bank was nationalised in July 1969 along with 13 other banks. From its modest beginning, the bank has grown in size and stature to become a front-line banking institution in India at present.

With over 38 million satisfied customers and 4668 offices, PNB has continued to retain its leadership position among the nationalized banks. Recruitment procedure:
Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together. Written test includes Objective Tests consisting of:

(1) Test of Reasoning Ability,
(2) Test of Numerical Ability,
(3) Test of English Language,
(4) Test of Clerical Aptitude,
(5) Test of Computer knowledge and Descriptive Paper on English Comprehension for Qualifying only.
